A Grateful Mother’s Letter

I wanted to thank your organization, Community Health Initiative of Orange County for helping me with my daughters Medi-Cal case. When I first found out that my daughters Medi-Cal was cancelled back in August because we didn’t qualify anymore due to income, I didn’t where to get help.

But I found your organization and called to make an appointment. The lady that answered the phone was really nice and she gave me an appointment with Fernando. From there and on he was always willing to help me. He never gave up on my case and after many phone calls to the county and many back and forth from them, he was always willing to continue with our case.

He knew how important it was for my daughter Vanessa to have her insurance. She was born with half a heart which is called Hypo-plastic Left Ventricular Double Outlet, Single Ventrical. Due to this she has to take heart medication every day, she also has asthma and has to be seen by several specialist.

I am so thankful to Fernando because thanks to his hard work, my daughters Medi-Cal was re-instated this October. Thanks to your organization I was able to get my daughter Vanessa’s medication and make her cardiologist appointment. I am so thankful for all the help Fernando gave me during this long process.
