A New Mother’s Journey

Nayeli Hernandez Perez is a 31-year-old single mother who just gave birth to her baby. She came to us to help her get assistance for the Medi-Cal application on May 3rd, 2024. She was referred to us by the OC Health Care Agency in Santa Ana. Unfortunately, on Fridays we start later in the day and Nayeli had taken an Uber to the location to meet us. She called the office and did not want to spend any more money with Uber and had asked if we could help her over the phone. When we did, she was very thankful as she wanted medical attention for herself and newborn baby. She was also worried since she had an outstanding medical bills. Now Nayeli has been approved for Medi-Cal as well as her daughter and is able to seek medical treatment.
